Thelema Recordings is thrilled to announce the release of "Replicants EP", the latest project from the talented DJ and producer Joaqui, hailing from Extremadura, Spain. This EP is set to make waves in the electronic music scene with its exclusive colored vinyl release. Available in a stunning mix of blue, white, and black colors, the vinyl features the mesmerizing patterns created during the pressing process, making it a unique collector's item.

Joaqui, who has music running through his veins as the son of a professional drummer, has been an influential figure in the electronic music world since 2002. His journey has seen him share the stage with both national and international heavyweights like Dj Lord (Public Enemy), Fátima Hajji, Takaaki Itoh, and Technasia, among many others. With performances at prestigious festivals like WOMAD and residencies at iconic venues across Spain, Venezuela, and the UK, Joaqui's experience is vast and varied.

The "Replicants EP" takes inspiration from the futuristic themes of "Blade Runner," with each track echoing the film's cinematic tension and atmospheric depth. Opening with "Roy Batty Cries Tears in Rain," the EP captures the emotional intensity of the film's iconic scene, driven by haunting melodies and a powerful techno rhythm. "Rachael Has to Escape" follows with an urgent and pulsating beat, reflecting the desperation of the character.

Side B introduces "Tyrell Corporation," a darker, more industrial soundscape that perfectly captures the ominous aura of the film's central corporation. The EP closes with "November 2019," a nod to the movie's setting, blending nostalgic elements with Joaqui's signature electro-techno fusion.

Joaqui's expertise as a sound engineer, coupled with his certification in Ableton Live and an extensive discography on labels like Plexic Records, FenixFire, Dark Distorted Signal and Mona Records, shines through in every detail of this EP. As a key figure in the electronic music scene, Joaqui continues to push boundaries and innovate with every release.

Residente desde 2022 del mítico Moog Club, en el que mensualmente se desquita con sesiones de 5 horas, NIZ ha abierto, cerrado y barrido prácticamente todos los clubs de la ciudad condal y alrededores. A pesar de llevar transitando las cabinas profesionales desde 2018, han sido los dos últimos años los que la han visto despegar con la misma fuerza que desata su propuesta escénica. Razzmatazz, Nitsa, Input, Garage, Gordo, la Boite de Florida 135, Spook, Reset, Coliseum, Pulse, festivales como DURO o Brunch Electronik Festival o su querida Chocolate, ya han sido testigos de la artillería pesada pero elegante que suponen sus sets. Ha compartido cabina con grandes referentes de la escena Techno como Dax J, CJ Bolland, Ellen Allien, Cristian Varela, Antigone, Héctor Oaks, Paula Temple, Adiel, Stef Mendesidis o Andrés Campo. Y con pesos pesados del ala hard más comercial como SNTS, Dyen, Indira Paganotto o Klangkuenstler.

NIZ cuenta con un registro amplísimo. Mezcla sin complejos y sin miedo al riesgo techno, hard groove, acid, trance, industrial o hard techno clásico, sin olvidarse nunca de los 90s y los 00s que la vieron crecer. La DJ valenciana, ecléctica y versátil, ofrece una propuesta contundente, pero muy bailable; implacable, pero salpicada de oasis melódicos; un sonido 100% enfocado a destrozar la pista, pero selecto, elegante, ajeno a tendencias pasajeras y muy cuidado, tanto en la selección como en las mezclas: largas, progresivas y siempre creativas.

Como productora se estrenó en 2023 con ‘Siamang’ en el sello Odd Recordings y arrancó 2024 con ‘Black Little Pony’ para Gordo Trax. 

La mente inquieta que hay detrás de NIZ, publicista de formación y redactora de raza, demuestra su pasión por la música fuera de las cabinas como creadora de contenido y divulgadora de la cultura electrónica. Ha escrito mensualmente para DJ Mag España durante dos años y su perfil de Instagram rebosa contenidos audiovisuales de creación propia que van desde la reivindicación feminista hasta tutoriales técnicos, pasando por reseñas, análisis sociológicos, historia de la música electrónica o consejos para DJs principiantes.
