Performed live at the 2014 Winter Music Conference.  A dope set of some TripTheory, Spacemen tracks and some of my new tunes.  Original "Time's Up" and "Something for your Mind" were written by Keith "DJ Trip" and Dan "Theory" Warren.  These versions written and produced by Dan Warren. This original mix was transferred directly from an old vinyl I came across recently.  Fans and friends, this will have to do until I get my DAT machine unpacked. One night at the Bass Cave I had some friends staying over and I had been listening to what they were "spinning" on Traktor.  After they were done hogging the computer, I jumped on it, grabbed the headset mic and proceeded creating the Funk.  After a long night and day and another night and day then one more long night and most of the next afternoon, this was the result.

For All You Tweakers!

RECORDED  LIVE at Future Fest 99 in Atlanta, Ga.  This is a true "TripTheory" set as performed by the original members Keith "Dj Trip" and  Dan "Theory" Warren.  It was recorded live via an Yamaha O3Rw and onto a DAT.  I added a few of my personal tracks which was normal since Keith would often do the same.   If we'd get a good crowd response we'd work on them, finish 'em then incorporate them to our future sets.  I also noticed there are a few "open" spaces where the MIDI notes aren't playing.  They must have been down on the board.  I think it's fine and people hearing this for the first time won't even miss them. As for the 2 personal tracks, I was told sucked so I removed them from any other mixes.  Ironic since I hear one of these EXACT unremixed, unrewritten versions recent TT performances to this day.  We also played as "Spacemen" that night and got caught changing into our costumes.  That's when "The Jig was up" and fans starred realizing that SM was basically "TripTheory" with the addition of  "Subliminal."  This was a fantastic night and performance by both of our groups.  However it left a thin layer of red clay dust in areas of gear like my Jv-2080 and Jp 8000 that I still cannot get after all these years.  We broke up shortly after this when egos's became more important than the music.  But I had a blast that night!  WISH IT COULD BE LIKE THIS AGAIN!!  I'll try and find a better flyer pic to post also.  I posted this for all of our fans young and old.  it's Something for your Mind!

FUTURE FEST 1999  [Trip Theory]  Keith Rosenberg / D. Warren

This a 3:46 edit of recent track I wrote;  the "pretty chords" song I spoke of before.  It it is by far not finished.   I started it last week and It's one of those tracks where I sat down and played a few notes.  Within a few hours, this is what came from the Aether.  I have to re-track the bass, put in the rest of the sound fx and mix and master it properly.  I'm posting this rough so I can get some input as to what you folks think.  Too pretty, too hokey, too free style sounding, too what?

ISOLATION (rough work mix edit)

I normally don't do remixes of other artists material but this was a special occasion.  It's not a remix since it's more like a rewrite.  I call this tune my homage to the 1996 DJ Godfather track "Alien's got my 808."  Although this song sounds nothing like original and I wrote new words and different melodies, I still wanted to give props to the track that inspired it.   Enjoy...

Composed in 1999 this is a solemn, melancholy track.  Inspired by the chaos and war in the Balkans during the liberation of Kosovo, It was a translation of my emotions through audio.  Mechanical destruction amidst disparity in the chords.  Written, produced, mixed and mastered by Dan Warren @ Miami Beach Recording Studio's, South Beach, FL.
