Watch out for the duttiest of dutty basslines to explode around 58 seconds in, before being joined by what sounds like kids banging cutlery on the school dinner tables and a haunting choral riff. Bi-coastal, Oakland raised and recently Shanghai-based MC Gita is back with a taste of her upcoming EP Holy Mothers in her latest single New Car. Taking it back a notch from the west-coast and grime influenced sound of her earlier projects, the Mike Swoop produced beat is matched with considered but decidedly dreamier vocals.

While Holy Mothers doesn't have a definite release date, Gita is working on a strong visual component to the EP with three videos to be released as a short film in collaboration with creative house Matriarch Agency made up of .
