Here at ATLANT we’re always excited to unearth something vibrant and exciting. This time we set our course for Cologne, a city with a burgeoning reputation for producing new electronic talent, as we proudly welcome Søren Laga to the fold. After a debut for iconic afro house imprint MoBlack, Søren’s work has an emphasis on quality and integrity. Rather than following trends Søren is brave, charting his own path, wherever the music takes him. When music is this good, who can blame him. ‘Pentagon’ fuses tribal percussive influences, floating chords and subtle dramatic embellishments against a wailing synth theme that builds and simmers as the dance- floor sways as one .. lost in unison to the groove, until a intense release of euphoria snaps the crowd out of their hypnotic state. Taking things deeper the soothing keys of ‘Origami’ captivate as the bass-line gently pulses, allowing the mesmerising siren-like motif to take over. A lesson in melody and restraint, as with ‘Pentagon’ all key moments are judged to absolute perfection. Tried and tested live by label head BOg the two tracks on show have collected their air miles from Munich to Moscow. With so much to bring you now and into 2019 these are exciting times for ATLANT. Hailing from Cologne, Søren Laga is just starting out on an artistic journey full of promise and endless possibilities. The 24 year-old German producer and DJ made his debut on Casetta Records before gaining wider acclaim with his incredible debut EP 'Moving Light' for iconic afro house tastemakers MoBlack Records. Producing melodic, deep house Søren prides himself in creating music for people who like to close their eyes in the club, getting lost in the sound and beats, to enjoy those special personal moments as well as a collective togetherness. With his next EP forthcoming on BOg’s ATLANT it can’t be long before word gets out. So watch this space, Søren Laga has a bright future and is a name to look out for.

A natural for stirring melodies, Berlin-based Sam Shure channels his all-around manifold array of talents into his debut album.

With its versatile moods yet compact constructions, Laconia is a self-fulfilling prophecy. The album features ten tracks that draw on Sam’s jazzy Egyptian roots while staying grounded in his usual melodic, mood-heavy aesthetic. Laconia features collaborations with fellow producers Cioz and Cook Strummer, as well as a special apparition by Sam’s paternal figure playing the Oud on Mirage. The tracks explore a diverse array of dispositions, from groovy up-warmers such as Mangata or Louna to more lively dancefloor aggregators such as Kamala Bani, on to the deeply polarizing, whirlwind synth dinger Guz or the more experimental self-evident Not Much To Say.

A novel detail makes an appearance on Je te vois, an acoustic electronic dance number with poetic lyrics tenderly sung in French for the first time. The artist’s romantic side also shows through the mystical elements interspersed throughout, from the spellbinding Encanto to the dreamy soundscapes of Atreyu, named after the famous German fantasy book character.

Thanks to a modest key riff and more cosmic effects, Aubade lends its meaning of “greeting in the sun” to the atmosphere, rounding off the release on an incandescent note.
