This song was actually developed in 2018 when I was still new to FL studio. When I created the first six singular notes I left it there because I thought it sounded good enough. Months later, I got inspired by Jocelyn Flores by XXXtentation. Then, I made a few adjustments creating the first chord progression in the song with similar sounding melodies and remaking the rhythm to like another rapper's flow like tay-k. Even though I wasn't much of a big fan of hip-hop, it really was one of my biggest inspirations for this song. The buildup was inspired by a 501 remix of Shave it by Zedd which was and still is one of my favorite songs. Then right after the buildup, I accidentally made a preset that sounded like Arcane by 3lau so I thought it would just surprise the listener with a breath of fresh air. Most of the synths I used in this song was GMS and the rest were just the lead of the buildup which was a Nexus preset then the happy sounding arpeggio for the drop was a Sytrus preset.

Since I wasn't really capable of making the original a generic modern dubstep song in 2017, I decided to make it sound like one because I thought it was worth a shot and that maybe it would blow up or something. I had a lot of trouble trying to get the dynamics right and it turned out to be okay but not great.

I made this low effort remix as a joke to make fun of breakbeat even though I enjoy listening to it.

My (old) music production philosophy is: You may not be the best car but you sure as hell can be the best bike. Focus your creativity on what you know you’re best at because that’s what breeds originality. Again, this is just my opinion I’m still kind of a rookie/intermediate producer.

I made this track song to express my child-self’s perception of how I enjoyed edm. Like how I used to listen to those 2010s edm pop songs from Benny blanco, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Nicki Manaj, Will.i.am and the black-eyed peas; and just straight up edm artists like Zedd, Avicii, Seven Lions, Krewella, Calvin Harris… you get the picture. I still enjoy listening to edm to this day! 

Rant: But the way I enjoyed it back then was far different from how I enjoy it now. I mean don’t get me wrong, the genre has expanded so much over the years and consequently, lots of new songs to enjoy. The reason why I wanted to make music in the first place is to actually recreate that feeling that new or very old edm listeners, that I feel, will just never understand. Sometimes I, and other producers will back me up on this, get caught up with trying to impress people by being another copycat. I mean, sure there’s nothing wrong with being that as long as you enjoy it but sacrificing your joy making music to impress others isn’t the route I would take and that’s a fine line from experimenting with other genres. This is just my opinion and it’ll most likely change in the future. There will be time where I HAVE to create something I don’t like but only time will tell.
