HOLOMETABOL is a audio visual project, reflecting moth's being and habits in thier inner and outer reality. 
A sequence of encounters with these beautiful night guardians moved me to create a photographic series and auditive interpretation of their world.

HOLOMETABOL

Mit dem ersten Atemzug 'All the Colors' des Full Lengh Solo Albums erzählt die junge Künstlerin den absoluten Beginn der Dinge, das Fundament, die Herausforderungen, die hinter ihrem 12 Track Manifest 'From A to Be' stecken.
Zu Beginn des Songs setzt Elena vorab Statements, wie "My mind is faster then my lifetime, my thoughts are bigger than my self..", die einem sofort die Tiefe und die "Bigger Picture" Perspektive ihres Songwritings offenbaren. Das ganze Album 'From A to Be' ist eine Auswahl aus Elenas' Song-Sortiment, die sie im Alter von 12-22 Jahren geschrieben hat. Während sie im vergangenen Jahr die notwendigen Entscheidungen traf um dem Solo Album neben den vielen Projekten und ihrem Studium den notwendigen Platz frei zu räumen, entstand 'All the Colors'. Dieser Song spiegelt nicht nur den ganzen Prozess des Prioritäten-Setzens für die Ermöglichung ihres Solo Projekts wieder, sondern wurde sein Refrain auch ein Mantra, in dem sie sich lautstark immer und immer wieder daran erinnert, dass sie an sich und ihren Weg glaubt. Und zwar mit ALLEN FARBEN und allen dazugehörigen Aspekten, die in ihr wohnen. Diese Worte bei jeder Performance wirklich zu 100 Prozent zu meinen und zu verkörpern ist die absolute Herausforderung. Diese starke Wirkung des Songs spiegelt für die Künstlerin eine sehr reale Konfrontation mit dem Selbstvertrauen wieder, die nicht nur Grundvoraussetzung für das Schaffen ihres ersten Solo Albums war, sondern nun auch den Startschuss für eine Reise durch Elenas' Lebenswerk bildet.

This song is guiding me since I am a little child. I would always listen to Beirut dancing and celebrating the joy of life.
In november I spent a week in San Francisco and met this wonderful human and musician Nathaniel who was playing the violin for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, another band that I would listen to a lot in my teens. So here we are, presenting you the first musical manifestation of our encounter. Enjoy!

With her performance she has not only lit my inner fire again but also embodied this weightless simplicity of joy that made me feel at home in my body again.

‘Implode'xplode' ist a homage to the threshold between the inner and the outer world. It is about the daily dance with the inputs and outputs of information. The awareness when it’s time to hold space for yourself to prevent implosions or when to celebrate and embody the explosions fully.
With this song, Elena reminds oneself of the capacity of our own body and the recognition of its warning signals, that show up when its too much.
In the society we are living in, quantity and speed took over and overstimulation turned into a norm.
“Through my tendency of overdoing it with work and tight schedules, that song kind of came out naturally, when I needed it the most.
'Implode'xplode' is not only a timeless reminder to care and listen to my body more but it also encourages me to fully embrace the explosions when they come in
and channel it into music, dance or any other type of creation with full power."
