This new single is the most lyrically vulnerable song Elephant and The Rider have ever released. Comprised of heartfelt lyrics and an unexpecting combination of genres, 'Pink Front Door' pulls together feelings of a danceable indie rock anthem, as well as blending their Alternative Indie sound with a G funk synth primarily used in Hip-Hop and modern R&B, giving it a West Coast influence - creating an exciting and interesting dynamic to their already eclectic upcoming EP 'Forever Didn't Last That Long.'

'Keep Knocking' is the 5th single from our upcoming 6 track EP 'Forever Didn't Last That Long'. From the beginning 'Keep Knocking' was bigger in its complexity. It became a labour of love after being put on the back burner for the lack of a chorus we all loved. There is a rhythmic darkness to the track, which we've always found engaging and fun to play. The tracks layering of the lyrics and the music has a more mature feel. We feel the rhythmic and melodic dynamicity creates a great contrast between the mood of the verses and the choruses.

Recorded by renowned production duo Lee McCarthy, and Ady Hall at Sugarhouse in St Helens, England. (Corella, VENUS GRRRLS, Glass Caves, Viola Beach). Then subsequently mastered by Robin Schmidt, a grammy nominated multi-platinum winning mastering engineer at 24-96 in Karlsruhe, Germany. (Pixies, Wolf Alice, The 1975, Biffy Clyro) 

This song was inspired by the overwhelming epiphanous feelings of imposter syndrome, and being seduced by something you are not. Realising eventually that the mask always falls off in the end. What remains is who you really are, forcing self discovery and ultimate truth.
