My next guest on Yax Invites is M_NŪ, a DJ/Producer from Montreal, Canada.

The M_NŪ project is the result of extensive reflection and acclimatization, mainly due to a cultural and environmental change. His new universe naturally gave birth to a raw music rich in deep vibrations, rumbling bass lines and an even more percussive and propulsive rhythm.

Born in 1987 in Bourgogne (France), M_nū discovered electronic music, and more precisely Techno, when he was a teenager. It is initiated by the greatest, such as Laurent Garnier or Mr Oizo, that he widens his palette of competences and makes his collection of vinyls grow near the record shops of his region.

It is at the doors of the majority that M_nū launches out in the organization of Minimal evenings and starts to occur in front of the public, in particular in the festival Off of Nuit Sonores in Lyon.

He then gets the residency of a French club and becomes the artistic programmer for 7 years. He had the chance to invite and play with famous artists like Robert Babicz, Louisahhh or Maxime Dangles.

Guided by his thirst for discovery and diversity, M_nū continues his adventure in Montreal. Cosmopolitan and multicultural, his new life offers him a new look at his art, and it's all his universe that takes a new dimension.

It is through meetings and the discovery of new artists that he is invited to perform in parties like Ärder or to play in different clubs in the city like Newspeak and Salon Daomé. With Sharing as his main value, he allies himself with other artists and also performs as a duo in raves and parties in Quebec and Montreal.

His next EP as well as his Live project are the result of a deeper reflection, mainly based on the cultural and environmental change of his life.
Always stimulated by club culture but also by free parties, this mix of both genres makes M_nū a versatile artist. His inspirations naturally give birth to a raw music, rich with deep vibrations and percussive and propulsive rhythms.

With over 10 years of experience in clubs and electronic events in France, where he grew up and cut his teeth as a DJ and artistic programmer, Manolow arrived in Montreal in 2018 to increase his culture and grow artistically. We have seen him perform at the Salon Daomé, at Newspeak and even at raves all over Quebec.
His love for Dub Techno allowed him to land a monthly residency at “La Face B”, a permanent Montreal webradio focused on musical discovery.
His penchant for hypnotic techno and hard groove makes him perform in various underground parties in Montreal such as Arder and Pulsion.
In the shadows and discretion, he is also preparing the release of an EP for 2024.

Manolow est un ami du label T&NE, originaire de Besançon, il propulse désormais son groove de l'autre côté de l'océan, au Canada. DJ/Producteur depuis de nombreuses années, il n'a jamais cessé de proposer des tracks efficaces sur le dancefloor, avec une patte bien à lui. Manolow développe un intérêt pour la musique électronique dès son adolescence, en cottoyant des soirées underground en Bourgogne Franche-Comté ainsi que des Free party. Manolow deviendra résident du côté de la MEZ à Besançon avant de tout quitter pour le Canada ou là encore, il exerce ses talents d'artistes derrière le booth des clubs de Montréal.
