Julia Holter remixed Boardwalk's "I'm to Blame," stripping it down to the bones and rebuilding a spooky remix of the dreamy lullaby, using on the spares elements of the original.  

This inspired the band - Boardwalk's Mike Edge and Amber Quintero of Los Angeles - to make the stems available to anyone who is interested in making a remix.

A Link Wray tune, this track is from my forthcoming album release "Introducing" which features Tucker Martine's production (as well as drums!), Eli Moore's beautiful guitar, Steve Moore on the piano and organ, and some backing vocals by Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Laura Veirs. 

"Introducing" releasing May 13th 2016 on Bella Union(UK/EU) and Raven Marching Band Records(US) has elements of country and soul and features tunes written in the 70s - Tom T. Hall, Waylon Jennings, Don Gibson, Barry Gibb, Townes Van Zandt, Tom Rush are some of the songwriters covered.

They sound like the old, weird Los Angeles, with strains of true surfing music, American harmonies, Sunset Strip backbeat and desert ramble filtered through Goldstar Sessioneers.Pre-fuzz pedal ‘electrified folk’ music and pop groups hitting the California sound with the tambourine on just the right beat.This group sounds like bungalows in canyons; hidden deco stairsteps peeking from leafy hillsides; kustom kars and dovetails and chicks in OP shorts with long, long hair, like a Dennis Hopper photo come to life. You look at their well worn Fender guitars, their real surfer tans, their dusty suede boots - and you see it’s a sound natural to them; This isn’t an act.
