The countdown has started! We are approaching the album release of Moritz Hofbauer - "In A Blurry World". The next single to be released by the Fckng Serious Artist is titled "Lost In Complexity" and will be released on September 15.
Take a musical journey with "Lost In Complexity," a collaboration between Moritz Hofbauer and ILAYO. Blending emotive piano melodies with a powerful and minimalistic drop, the song weaves a mesmerizing contrast that captivates the senses. As the song goes on, these seemingly disparate elements converge in a breathtaking finale, forging a harmonious fusion.
ILAYO's poignant lyrics delve deep into her emotional landscape, revealing a profound sense of being adrift amidst opposing forces. "Lost In Complexity" tells a powerful story of her journey through tough times, trying to deal with inner struggles and accept all the different parts of herself.
Another highlight is the single, accompanied by three special remixes by Nusha, Re.You, and DJ Lion. Each of these remixes adds its own unique touch, showcasing the various facets through which Moritz Hofbauer's new single can be interpreted.

On the a-side Luke's Anger brings raw booty machine funk to the table with 'Planet Twerk', alongside the hypnotic stomp of Jerome Hill’s ‘Red Alert’.

Warlock dials up the intensity with technoid kick drum weapon ‘Flash Crash’ on the flip, followed by ‘HodgeBodge’ - a dramatic electro-digidub workout courtesy of The Horn.

Released on DIGITAL and 135gsm hand numbered 12" black vinyl, limited to 100 copies.

In Your Body

DC175 comes courtesy of Alias, a new project comprising of Harvey & Ryan McKay, who are two acts who have previously released solo material on the label. Harvey McKay’s last appearance was in late 2016 when he dropped ‘The Mad Drummer’ on A-Sides Vol. 4 whereas Ryan McKay’s last outing was in 2015 when he appeared on A-Sides Vol.3 under the name Skiver. This is the first collaborative project between the Scottish duo under their new moniker Alias.

The EP opens with ‘Pentatonic’; A tough sounding track that has been designed for the forward-thinkers. ‘The Truth’ follows up sharply, with vintage piano stabs and a vocal that gives the track abounding energy. The on-point percussion leads you on a trip of pure rapture. The release closes with the apocalyptic ‘Dream Taker’, which is teeming with sinister vocal action, hostile synth work and a sublime way to sign off.

Alias - Pentatonic - Drumcode - DC175

ELEVATE – a label started by one of the best loved techno duos of the moment Pig&Dan, focuses on releasing music to make the listener feel just that – ‘elevated’. Since its inception in 2012, its seen a stream of hits climb the Beatport charts, featuring artists including Amelie Lens, Monika Kruse, Christian Smith, Julian Jeweil and Matador among many others.

Its 75th release comes from none other than the label bosses themselves, marking Pig&Dan’s 7th solo EP on the label.

Kicking things off, the title track “Starting Again” has a slamming kick and crisp shaker shuffle that sets the pace. It's a driving cut designed for an intense dancefloor experience. The vocals and synth collaborate effortlessly, delivering a subtle but beautiful breakdown.

Deep in those morning hours “A.M.” brings a dark abyss like track with a haunting synth pattern coupled by a bellowing horn. Both dominate the soundscape as vocal echoes escape into the mix.

Modulating low end and funked out percussion stabs roll through “In My Mind”, the filtered vocal leaks delicately in and out of the darkness, whilst the hook emerges in satisfying ooze like form.

Fast pace, old school techno inspiration comes in the form of “Obsession” to close out the EP. It comes at you with bump and swing. It’s got simple but super catchy vocals, rolling between that rhythmic peak time groove.

1. Pig&Dan - Starting Again

Next up on Truesoul we welcome Danny Serrano & Rehmark, who debut on the label with ‘Interlurder State’. Between them the Spanish duo have already released music on Suara, Viva Music, Terminal M and Elevate; It’s quite clear that both of their careers are in the ascendant and we are delighted to showcase their music.

The release kicks off with ‘Second State’, which ramps into top gear from the start, with its groove-heavy beats and intuitive percussive components working in perfect unison. ‘Interlurder’ is more of a low-slung roller with thumping drums and is certainly geared towards the underground heads.  Both tracks highlight the pairs skillful production ability – Expect to hear these tracks a lot more this summer!
