B. Gordon is the latest addition to Elevated Movement Records. This young multi talented composer has his roots in jazz drumming, but started producing electronic music with just an Electribe synth/sampler and a collection of effects pedals a few years ago. He joined fellow jazz musician and EMR's own Joe Roller in the studio to start rerecording and engineering his unique eclectic sound which ranges from indie electronic to almost ambient breaks. Here are five of our favorites that will be coming to a online distributor near you this summer.

B Gordon's debut release strikes some as quite odd. Gordon's vision is to create tracks that challenge our perception of language. Escuchar is the first in a series of tracks in his "Learn To Speak Spanish Series".  Escuchar is the Spanish verb to listen, and when you listen to this track you might learn a little more than the conjugations of Escuchar.

The incredible composer, musician, engineer, producer, and world class piano player Joe Roller is at it again.  Alpine Love is a takes us on a musical journey best described below in one of Joe's free-writes about the track.

It's a cold night on the full moon in the Rocky Mountains. We find Keaton free climbing on a wall by himself. He doesn't have anything else to lose. He mastered the art of rock climbing a long time ago. If it were up to him, he wouldn't do anything else. A rock never told him he didn't have enough money for a car loan. He never found a rock in his bedroom with another man. Keaton loved rocks because rocks don't lie. They simply don't
care enough to.

Keaton doesn't buy in to the whole "respect the rock" movement going on around him. He knows that he could respect the rock if he wanted to. Hell, he could even pray to it. But deeper within his heart he knows that rock would kill him before he knows it.

Keaton stopped midway up the face. He's about halfway done. He clips in his rope and stops to listen. He hears the wind whispering through the rock face and dancing through its cracks. Keaton stops for a second and can make out the sound of a truck driving in the distance. He sees the moonlight sparkle off of the rock wall and the river below him.

For a split second, the river, rock, and sky blend into one. The stars
light up around him and the rock face disappears. He grabs onto the stars and fails. The last thing he hears is a lullaby his mother used to sing to him: an old Colorado folk song. The river rushes on.

Hi Polar Bear is a true melodic breakbeat masterpiece that fuses older dance music elements with a newer electronic indie sound.  Strings open up this track, as sounds waft in and out to create an aura of peace and tranquility. It's as if the listener is flipping through television channels. The listener is being directed through a plethora of dreams and memories and we haven't decided which one yet as scenes from picturesque parks, cities, mountains, and beaches waft through the air.
