The beach is an amazingly long and wide strip, well shaded by tall trees and divided in two by a small rock formation. Eleven Of July Live @ Naithon Beach, Phuket, Thailand

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'The Light' is August Proto aka Eleven Of July. November of last year marked the Italian artist's Eat My Hat debut with a three-track showcase entitled 'Fearless'. Now embarking on his fifth year as professional producer, August has continued to go from strength to strength, landing releases via Awen Recordings, Beyond Now, Movement Recordings and Us and Them Records, while earning the praise of andME, Dj Tennis, Dubfire, Undercatt and more. Continuing to build a bond with Eat My Hat as 2022 takes shape, Eleven Of July now returns to the label with a powerful rendition of 'The Light'. Fluid and groovy in equal measure, it's a mix that carries the sensibility of the original, while adding more of a melodic techno vibe through tougher beats, unique sonic artifacts and otherworldly effects. Building beautifully into the break, shimmering arps and a ghostly vocal take centrestage, adding further to its emotive sensibility, before a billowing drop spearheads a glowing finale. A stunning rendition from the fast-rising Italian artist, rounding out another must have offering from Ziger's Eat My Hat Music.

Following on from the success of 'Drived', BrokenHearted welcomes Eleven Of July back to the label for a new single. Based in Rome, Italian artist Augusto Proto aka Eleven Of July has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of the genre's elite artists, Augusto has found a way to create his own personal universe by crafting avant-garde club tracks, and ultimately finding a place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. On the strength of support from Adriatique, Dubfire, Mind Against and Undercatt, Eleven Of July has been operating at the heart of the melodic house and techno movement since the genre's inception. Fully formed within the creative confines of his Rome studio, the two-track showcase 'Drived' opened the year for both Eleven Of July and Brokenhearted, a project which has seen the Italian artist go on to re-imagine 'Aquiles ' by Tchaka for his first remix of the year. Now, presenting the much-anticipated follow-up to 'Drived', Eleven Of July returns to his comfortable home of BrokenHearted with a special single track release entitled 'Life'. Superficially, 'Life' might come across as a classic peak-time dance floor tool, but it exists in a markedly different sonic world, as Eleven Of July crafts a narrative which is equal parts dramatic and emotional. Multiple layers of rebounding rhythms, ghostly vocal trails and tightly knit arps get gently woven around a core of beefy grooves and flashing percussive arrangements. The main break basks in retro-radiance as a nostalgic lead emerges, bringing with it anticipatory moments, before a finale of pulsating grooves and sweeping strings puts a cap on this creative gem. Operating at the peak of his creative powers, Eleven Of July continues to impress with his latest BrokenHearted offering, as 'Life' sets the course for what promises to be a strong second half of 2023.

Tash's Movement Recordings opens the fall season by welcoming Eleven Of July back to the label for a new EP. Based in Rome, Italian artist Augusto Proto aka Eleven Of July has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of the genre's elite artists, Augusto has found a way to create his own personal universe by crafting avant-garde club tracks, and ultimately finding a place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. On the strength of support from Adriatique, Dubfire, Mind Against and Undercatt, Eleven Of July has been operating at the heart of the melodic house and techno movement since the genre's inception, carefully curating releases via Area Verde, Eat My Hat Music and his own BrokenHearted imprint. Movement Recordings has also been a recurring landing spot for Augusto, with five originals released across a year-long stretch, most notably his 'Call From The Blue' EP which landed in March of 2022. Now, following his latest BrokenHearted vehicle 'Life', Eleven Of July returns to Movement Recordings with 'Your Heart and Your Mind'. Spread across four tracks it's the astral techno sounds of 'Cerbero' which get the EP underway. Rich in rhythm and drive, its punchy low end and pulsating cadence provide momentous energy, while icy pads and a prophetic lead fill in the framework. Hopeful overlays bring an emotive vibe as the main break commences, melting down to a gorgeous cinematic-style centerpiece, before a flurry of claps cues a thunderous drop and charged finale. Meanwhile, title selection 'Your Heart and Your Mind' continues on a darker monochrome with tough beats anchoring a mature no frills arrangement of dystopian stabs, sci-fi vocals and metallic arps. An intriguing narrative and one which continues to build following a short well timed break, perfectly setting the stage for a second act that is equal parts surreal and cosmic. The third selection 'Nanthana' surveys a similar design profile but with a further lean into melodic territory. Beginning with a stripped yet punchy groove, the piece evolves with cascading arps and detailed percussion carrying into the main break. Wispy effects and poignant fragments make for a cavernous interlude, one which is sure to captivate a dancefloor with its air of mystery and intrigue, before a rush of drums sparks a beefed up drop and suitably epic finale. Rounding out the release is 'Friday' which carries a mystical peak time vibe through its machine-gun style grooves, shapeshifting vocal samples and an array of squelchy stabs which allow for a great sense of depth and space. The main break serves to add additional tension, as the astral lead gets washed away, and a spacious interlude of razor-sharp stabs and haunting vocals push forward to a thrilling finale.

BrokenHearted opens the year with a new EP from label boss Eleven Of July. Based in Rome, Italian artist Augusto Proto aka Eleven Of July has impressed through his now decade long and varied discography. He touches on disparate themes and sounds, straddling a divide between astral design and techno-inspired beats, resulting in a unique aesthetic that is both club-effective and effortlessly cool. 2023 proved to be another note-worthy year for the Italian, with two projects via his BrokenHearted imprint being flanked by releases for Pillar and Movement Recordings, the latter of which was a four-track affair that masterfully balanced rich production with fire-starting spontaneity. Now, getting 2024 off to an impressive start, Eleven Of July lands back on BrokenHearted with a two-track showcase entitled 'Avadavat'.   Beginning with 'Avadavat' Eleven Of July puts a firm focus on the dance floor which sets the tone for the EP. Full of rejuvenating energies, the Rome resident expertly blends robust kick drums and electric grooves with flashing percussion and ominous overlays. Elasticized chord stabs steal the air leading into the break, casting a darker monochrome over the journey, before a siren-like build cues a rush of main room melodic alchemy.   Rounding out the release are the hard hypnotic qualities of 'Amandava'. Tight, compact and bursting with ultrasonic energies, the track's first movement is built around astral arps and a grinding pyrotechnic drive which carries energy into the main break. Eleven Of July's creative attitude shines across the interlude, with panning sonics and a poignant lead theme cleverly coaxing, eventually revealing a darker monochrome, one which pushes onwards to a finale that is equal parts prophetic and cosmic, to round out the release on a thunderous note.

Eleven Of July is the musical project of an eclectic dj and music composer/producer and live performer from Rome, Italy. 

His project took off in 2017, with the name that started to be seen on labels such as Suah, KDB, Natura Viva, Natura Viva Black, Awen Records, Kitchen Recordings etc.. He has released four singles and four Ep in 2018, alone.  

In 2019, the number of releases is impressive: totally 18 official releases, including 4 remixes and 28 original tracks, all well welcomed by the melodic techno community. 

The artist reached several times the Top 100 Melodic House & Techno Releases Chart on Beatport, entering the top 50 with “Bucephalus” (Suah). 

His dark and atmospheric melodic techno has been already recognized and supported by artists like: Hollen, Locodice, Dubre, Cattaree, Richard Cleber, Rache, &ME, Atlant, Andi Durrant, Las Von, Citizen Kain, Undercatt, Rafael Cerato and many more. 

By favouring the vinyl’s warmth, Eleven Of July expresses his art through both dreamy and magnetically dark melodies. 

The artist performed in Italy, Germany and lately in Thailand, exporting his sound signature oversea. Just like in his previous records, his Dj mixes combine different genres gracefully, arming the idea that electronic music can be combined to create puzzles, always telling a unique, and different story.
