As a DJ, producer and label head, Felix K’s singular perspective and approach has been an ongoing source of inspiration across the scene since the early 00's. From seminal work on his own array of imprints to key performances at events around the world (including an unforgettable set at a Patterns of Perception party in 2019), Felix’s vision has been, and continues to be, both influential and indelible.

For Patterns of Perception 100, Felix drew upon his vast knowledge (and record collection) to compile an ambitious four-hour mix which traces the spirit and lineage of both fundamental and contemporary sounds across the wider breakbeat/UK scene.
Beginning the journey with foundational dub, Felix layers modern counterpoints of breaks, jungle and dnb, in the process highlighting connections, overlaps and inspirations that have taken place across years, generations and eras.
The result is almost encyclopaedic in its depth and scope, but with an approachable energy that channels the warmth of mixtape culture. It is a  fascinating and compelling undertaking from a true head, with a presence that feels both fresh and timeless.

vrika (@vrika) is the moniker of Spanish producer Fernando Blanco. His music blends hypnotic rhythms, ambient soundscapes, and organic textures, all infused with a tribal essence. Starting with techno as a foundation, his sound freely explores a range of subgenres. Vrika has released music on Doppt Zykler and other respected underground labels. Currently he is a member of the Espacio Perpendicular collective.

Artist’s Statement:
"The concept behind the mix is a fusion of spoken word and soundscapes that evoke the sensation of particle experiments, creating an immersive and exploratory listening experience."

Set recorded on April 26 at Espacio Perpendicular (@espacio-perpendicular), during a deep listening event featuring Australian artist Gi as a guest, along with other regulars of the space such as Camu, Haara, Doozer Frpinkl, and Muted.

Born in Hawaii and raised in Taiwan, Timo Lee has traded island breezes for Brooklyn sidewalks, where she’s become a fixture in the borough’s nightlife. Her musical journey began over two decades ago with a radio show in Honolulu and evolved into residencies at DJ Harvey’s Thirtyninehotel. Today, you’ll find her behind the decks at Good Room, spinning regularly on The Lot Radio, and curating vinyl nights as the booker for Good Bar’s acclaimed sessions.

Beyond her DJ work, Timo co-owns Bevy, Honolulu’s cocktail discotheque, and leads Chomp! Chomp! Records, championing fresh talent and vinyl culture. Her sets are an electrifying mosaic of house, disco, funk, and more—crafted to stir emotion, ignite dance floors, and transcend musical boundaries.

We could not imagine a more fitting Podcast Series contribution to soundtrack the peak of our of summer than this lush dubby mix recorded by the New York via Chicago DJ & productress Eden Aurelius 🦋

Back in April last year, the inaugural record on the Glaswegian label co:clear lands in the crates at Phonica Records and it steals the show. It was the debut release by Eden Aurelius titled ‘Plateau’ with it’s soft-edged downtempo take on dub techno dancing through clouds of ambient textures and perfectly embodying that netherworld in between ambient and dance music that is the beating heart of Introspective Electronics. Over a year later, we are so grateful and proud to have Eden feature on our Podcast Series with this stunning hour-long recording 💕

Nothing else to do now but to plunge into the dubwise depths of this magick mix where tender energy ebbs and flows in the spaces between not-quite-ambient and not-quite dance. It’s in the liminal space of the soft cracks in between. Aren’t you curious to hear? ✨
