I was blessed and got a last second slot for the legendary AMEN x BOB BEMAN party on january 3rd 2014 in the mighty BOB BEAMAN Club in Munich. So i played a vinyl only set with some of my favorite records from HOUSE to DISCO, from 1.00-2.30 in the morning - and i experienced one of the most amazing gigs so far. 
Thank you all so much for this night. Thank you AMEN, BOB BEAMAN, my close friends who had dinner with me before and came to party hard, and everybody who was there to dance, smile and shout!

The Soulquarians is a neo soul and alternative hip hop-informed musical collective. The collective, formed during the late 1990s, continued into the early 2000s, and produced several well-received albums. Prior to its formation, members Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and Q-Tip were members of the Native Tongues Posse.

Producer and drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson of hip hop band The Roots acted as the "musical powerhouse" behind several of the collective's projects.b The name of the collective is derived from an astrology sign. The founding members of the collective — Ahmir Thompson a.k.a. Questlove from The Roots, D'Angelo, James Poyser, and J Dilla — share sign of Aquarius. Questlove, D'Angelo, Poyser, and J Dilla came together after discovering they had a common interest for the unconventional — offbeat rhythms, irregular chords, and other traits often exhibited by the underground urban music scene.

Volcov stays active with three labels of his own (Archive, Neroli and SJNRL), producing under the Isoul8 moniker and currently maintains a busy schedule as part of the infallible Sounds Familiar roster.

‘I’ve been asked by Crown Ruler to do a dance floor mix for their new series, but i never really play dance stuff at home. So i thought to record a selection of old favourites from classic soul, rare groove and 2-step [slow soul songs that people in the UK used to actually dance to] to other 80s jams. Nothing too clever, exotic or rare [most records go for less than a tenner] but hopefully will stay in your car, computer [and who knows heart] a little longer…’
