This fourth energetic track resembles a sonidero dub approach of cumbia topped with an accordion line which invites you to celebrate until dawn. In the last section, a guitar solo appears to invigorate the song giving a euphoric feeling that is then accompanied by a harmonic arrangement by the accordion, and ends with the fading sound of the jungle, indicating the end of the ritual.

Influenced by Peruvian Cumbia and Quechua culture, Moonanga presents a psychedelic dance floor banger called “Munay”, the Quechua word for “love”. For this French duo, this is the most meaningful word in the world.

Due to its dynamic structure, the progression of this tune takes us deep into hypnotic chicha riffs played live with electric guitar, accordion and synthesizers. A truly stunning tropical bass composition, so rich it sonically suits any part of the day, yet its main objective is to keep the party alive with its solid bass and groove.

ELFM041 - Moonanga - Munay

Without hesitation, this beat-driven piece of music begins with a quarter note kick drum flavored with synthetic toms that will make you want to dance from the first pulse. The melody is lead by the Venezuelan instrument cuatro and is played by Maud Cavalade, who also wrote an original poem in Quechua and Spanish as lyrics for the track.

“Secopia” is a word invented by Moonanga based on “Cecropia”, a Neotropical genus consisting of sixty-one recognized species with a highly distinctive lineage of dioecious trees. The artists compare world music with trees because both trees and music have different roots and diverse styles, yet they all belong to the same kingdom.

Opening with a jungle atmosphere, this track evolves continuously from the first drum hit. It makes you feel as if you are in a shamanic ceremony, which increases in intensity and complexity throughout the song.

“Kaitü”, a word used by the indigenous people of the Colombian peninsula Guajira, translates as “You are my sun”. This track has a remarkable melody construction, starting with a few notes on the African kalimba, then grows into a beautiful soundscape that uplifts in the company of long attack/release synthesizers, giving it an overall positive vibe.

The members of I Have Prøblemas think that we live in two different existential spheres. Reality and the net. Some people roleplay in digital platforms based on 90’s cyberpunk believe that you can be what you want in the wired. Acting as they are in a theatre play entertaining everyone with their creative uniqueness live and online.
