Eli is a singer-songwriter and wordsmith whose style of writing and performing contrasts what is real and nonsensical. His music playfully infuses the fun and absurdity of the unknown with a candid openness of the world that grounds the sound. Eli began sculpting his craft busking in the streets of Portsmouth, New Hampshire where his original stylings reminiscent of folk and americana started to take shape - influenced by traditional folk tunes and folk revival stylings. With a prominently smooth voice that sporadically cracks with emotion and a whimsical yet jubilant demeanor, Eli will silence a room with a wistful ballad and then quickly breathe life into it once again; foot-stomping his way through tales eager to be told. Gifted in lyricism, he sings (and sometimes talks) you through his fables and folklore illustrating meditations on karma, reflections on materialism, twisted tales of love, faithful accounts of his dreams, observations of the world, and other narratives of life.
