Shlomi Aber makes his Saved debut with a brand new remix package of a classic. ‘Tel Aviv Garden’ was originally released back in 2006, and has seen numerous mixes over the years; Saved are proud to bring you the newest and latest mixes from Shlomi himself and Saved label boss, Nic Fanciulli.

First up is Shlomi Aber’s 2006 Twisted Mix; a subtle take on the original, Shlomi weaves the hypnotic melodies into a dance-floor friendly version combining thumping drums and insatiable drops to great effect. In true Aber- style, the remix is brilliantly executed with a gentle nod to the original.

Over on the b-side we have Saved label-head Nic Fanciulli’s version. Fresh off the back of his huge remix for Hot Natured - Benediction, Fanciulli continues to impress with his remixing abilities and this stripped back version. Subtly changing the arrangement, and adding a set of powerful drums, the head honcho has delicately made Shlomi’s classic his own specifically with the dancefloor in mind.

Globally admired DJ and producer Riva Starr is back on Hot Creations and fired up to send dancefloors wayward with ‘Dippin’ Side.’ This time he calls on techno don Joseph Capriati to remix plus teams up with rising producers Haiku 575.

Title track ‘Dippin’ Side’ is an ultimate club banger, while Capriati’s remix skillfully strips back into a deep end roller. ‘Owls and Toucans’ brings the collaboration with Haiku 575, playing with trippy synths over heavy percussions.

Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr has released on the most esteemed underground labels, from Dirtybird, Saved and Hot Creations to his forthcoming album ‘Definition Of Sound’ on Cajual Records. His famed 'Rechunk' re-edits have given his fail safe touch to names like Daft Punk and London Grammar. Making this cross-pollination seem so effortless has won a team of supporters from Gilles Peterson to David Squillace, Adam Beyer to Pete Tong.

Joseph Capriati is recognized as one of the principal profiles in techno. From his ‘Self Portrait’ album on Drumcode in 2013 to his Music On residency at Amnesia for Marco Carola he has become one of the most in demand names in the business. Haiku 575 is a duo composed of M_Abbatangelo (manager and co-owner with Davide Squillace of This And That Lab) and Cipy (a veteran producer and long-time member of the Get Physical and Kinsdisch family), who after more than a decade of friendship decided to go into the studio together. The duo and Riva are thrilled with the release and planning more collaborations together in the future.

‘Temporary Sanity’ first appeared on the critically acclaimed ‘Time’ (LF017) album by Guy Mantzur & Sahar Z, and has remained a standout favourite since the LP was released back in November 2014. Now, Cornucopia has breathed a new life into the track with a beautifully melodic, subtle, sun-drenched percussive remix.

Already a huge track for John Digweed, who loved it so much, he featured it on his recent ‘Live In Montreal’ (Bedrock) release. Since then, the demand has been steadily growing for Cornucopia’s remix to be released in its own right, so at last, here we have it in all it’s glory on Lost & Found.

Once in a while an album appears that is distinctly special and has the ability to captivate audiences on a global scale, breaking through simplistic genre boundaries and uniting people through its exploration of the psyche of modern electronic dance music. Guy Mantzur & Sahar Z’s ‘Time’ project was such an album, and it remains as captivating and enthralling today.

Long-time French producer and DJ, Kiko, teams up with Belgium’s Dave Davis to create a stunning work, ‘Living In Space feat Phoebe’. The package includes a Dub version as well as a breathtaking remix from Olivier Giacomotto. Jumping right in, the original slowly opens the groove, an organic shuffle on the floor as Phoebe’s vocals tease the mix. You’ll find the rhythm is contagious, the vocals haunting and the effect on the dancefloor moving. The Olivier Giacomotto remix takes the pressure up, leaving a bigger footprint in a more dramatic fashion. Big swells, solid tech-house percussion another dose of dance-ability will give that extra boost for the late night club crowd. Some collaborations are good for a one-off moment in time; a tableau of a time and place shared by two creative individuals who have shared a moment.
Then there are collaborations that are meant for the long haul; there’s substance and connectivity that goes much deeper than the polished, crisp veneer of the music itself.
Something you can tangibly feel. Something that’s more than evident on Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfeld’s ‘Hidden Karisma’ EP for Marc Romboy’s Systematic.
Picking up where they left us last year with the epic ‘Epika’ and ‘Deeyo’ on Kompakt, once again the duo arrest our every sense with three diverse slabs of progressive electronic soul. And it kicks off with ‘Systematika’. The soft chimes and cleverly layered synth surfaces of ‘Hidden Karisma’ follow and the title couldn’t be more fitting: With its harmonic strata, gently folding twists and turns and stately breakdown, it’s the type of track that offers something new on every listen, guaranteeing a sterling sense of uplift that’s fresh every time.
Those in need of darker designs should jump on ‘Kruizer’ as an array of bass textures creep, jump and ooze out from the tall shadows cast by the rolling beats. With bare bone tones and techniques you’d usually expect on a UK bass record, it’s yet another exciting fusion from the Israeli duo and a devilish way of bidding you adieu... For now.
