March 2020 is a rather unusual month for Jannowitz. It's one oft he very rare occasions that we're releasing two separate EPs within 30 days. But it's easy to explain why: We receiving too many damn good tracks. 
One of them is „Abyss“ by Abstraal and Pontias. Abstraal is a French DJ and producer duo that's making waves throughout France and Europe. Just recently they played at the infamous Cercle streams right before Drumcode head honcho Adam Beyer. They teamed up with their French buddy Pontias, a breakthrough artist who is getting more and more recognition in the underground scene.
„Abyss“ is a melodic master piece. Much slower than the usual Jannowitz Records releases. But not releasing it was out of the question. „Abyss“ – although slower – has everything a proper JAW EP requires: Emotion, powerful kicks and high class production skills. 
For fans of the faster dancefloor rythms, French producer KIKO provided a fantastic remix. KIKO is known for several releases on labels like Stil vor Talent, Get Physical or Suara. His version of „Abyss“ is harder without losing the emotional touch to the original track.

Franky Wah kicks off 2021 with new EP ‘Should Have Seen It Coming’, his maiden release on the legendary Anjunadeep, out 12th February. 
A four-track EP, ‘Should Have Seen It Coming’ opens with the lead title track, an emotion-drenched vocal cut pairing poignant breakdowns with the soaring vocals of AETHO, out 4th February.

Franky enjoyed a career-affirming 2020 that included putting out a collaborative EP with dance music icon Sasha and dropping his debut mixtape The Revival Vol. 1, which included singles ‘You’re Not Alone’ and ‘Come Together’. The latter was nominated for Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record Of The Year’ and certified as her ‘Tune Of The Week’ and ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on BBC Radio 1, as well as garnering support from Pete Tong and MistaJam. With a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix now under his belt, he spent an impressive 10 weeks on the Radio 1 Playlist, 5 weeks of which on the A-List. The producer also made waves featuring in the globally renowned GQ Magazine in 2020, with an extensive feature focussing on the rising talent’s expansive repertoire. 

Going back to his roots, ‘Should Have Seen It Coming’ sees Franky Wah tap into his love of deep, melodic music and takes the genre into bold new territories.
