Final Hours

For the first time, MaestroDraven and IceFerno team up! This is a completely original co-composition featuring our collective skills and talents, as an ode to the Streets of Rage video game series we both love so much.

"Brawler's Nook" has been composed specifically for the menu section of F-Games' fantastic "Streets of Rage X" fan game (link below). As many of you know, my Expanded & Enhanced versions of the three SOR soundtracks act as the official soundtrack for the game, and both IceFerno and I thought it would be cool to make this particular song our first official collaboration. 

Working with IceFerno has been fantastic. We're two guys with a mutual love for SOR music, and the back-and-forth writing process was smooth, seamless and completely harmonious from start to finish. Expect more collabs in the future between us! In the meantime, you can enjoy the song on "Streets of Rage X," found here:

Brawler's Nook (feat. IceFerno)

While listening to this piece, the first part struck me as a perfect fit for a church organ. The composer for this is Masamichi Amano of Giant Robo fame. It is sort of unfortunate that his amazing work was restricted to the severe confines of the Nintendo 64 hardware. The music for this game is some of the most beautiful ever heard in an RPG, but the cheap synthesizer completely obliterates the potential it had. If you ever have a few millions to spare, be sure to have this soundtrack properly arranged and performed by a real orchestra, heh!
