This Psybient.Org podcast, is actually the realisation of a multi-year dream - to carve a sonic journey using my tracks, along with tracks made by the artists who have inspired & lifted me over the years. For the longest time, I didn’t think it was possible. But it really is, and I am truly excited to finally share it with you all.

___Delightful Imperfections Bio:___

After a lifetime immersed in trance & various forms of electronic music, my creative journey began back in 2009 when I started learning to DJ. Not long after I began playing PsyTrance sets for the MerKaBa Tribe parties & festivals across Jersey & the Channel Islands, which felt amazing, seeing so many happy smiley people, dancing, laughing, connecting….I wanted more :) 

Pretty soon after, I turned my focus towards my real passion, the wonderful world of psychedelic chill out. This music has done so much good for me, I struggle to put this into words. It has lifted my broken spirit more times than I can remember, in ways that feel deeply healing & nourishing. This was it, this was what I wanted to focus on, creating musical journeys that help heal & nourish us, help recalibrate & come back to ourselves in this crazy, crazy world. If I can even help one person then that is enough. 

My ‘Dreamtime Diaries’ series of psybient / psychill mixes is a great example of this work, covering all facets of the psybient world. Around 2017, I lowered the tempo again, creating ambient journeys for use in mediation, yoga, treatments, ceremony or any other situation where genuine immersion into the moment is required.

Around 2012, I branched out into music production. In 2016 I released my debut EP, and have been creating weird or wonderful sounds since then. Also in 2016, I co-founded the Unity Tribe Collective which hosted local trance parties, with the intention of bringing the local community together. Currently I am enjoying playing a monthly chill out radio show for Widgeon Airwaves & am working towards my latest EP, which will hopefully be out later this year.

Always an honor to bless dance floors and people's bodies with a curated soundscape. To bless the incoming Spring time and honor the Winter melting away from our bones. The Worm Moon asks us to melt away the hardiness and solitude, and to start the process of emerging out of the soil, the metamorphosis of the larvae in which we've resided for the past season.  

How beautifully the experience of life is mirrored in the seasons. Slowly coming out of my cave and playing more music for folks. 

Set in a small tea shop in the downtown streets of Asheville, the plant spirits accompanied us on our journey.

My music journeys are influenced by the music I'm currently passionate about, the places where I play them, the owners/managers, and even the weather. 

In this case, I stepped into this chic lounge and felt "I need to play here". I had a great chemistry with Ewa the manager and was glad to play for many friends who showed up on this not-too-hot afternoon.

Freaky Social is a DJ collective from South Manchester founded by good friends Marvin Jay and Matt Hassall who met while presenting shows on local radio.  Marv and Matt have been DJing for 30+ years and have played both locally in Manchester at various clubs (most notably The Hacienda, Sankeys Soap, The Music Box, Joshua Brooks, Prague V, Berlin, Manto's and Club CODE amongst others) as well as playing gigs across the UK and iInternationally. Beginning in the early 90’s, they cut their teeth playing mainly house and garage sets although now you can hear them dropping everything from balearic, downtempo, electronica to disco, soul, acid and all manner of cosmic wonky weirdness at their monthly pub raves.
