This was created as a distraction from a tooth ache I had last summer! It took 6 months to sculpt, perform, arrange, mix & master from scratch. Guitars are by the very talented Nigel Honney-Bayes, Vocals by Dionne Lightwood, & All Rights go to Donnie Darko for a reason that escapes me. I have permission from Damon Lightwood to use his daughters vocals.

"Weaving Dreams into Sounds"

Genres: electronica, idm, ambient, abstract, experimental, downtempo, trip hop, folktronica, dream pop, glitch

Lina Alexaki, aka Eliethel, creates a hybrid of electronic and organic sounds with intricate atmospheric textures, flanked by crackling percussive loops and layered with prominent yet ethereal melodic lines. She cites influences such as Björk, Imogen Heap, Ólafur Arnalds, Robert Rich, Sigur Rós, Trentemøller, and Peter Gabriel, but the result of her tinkerings is something altogether different, fresh, and original.

“Many creators of ambient music have a ‘space’ theme; I chose not to. My thematic and narrative palette concerns mostly with fantasy, dreams, fiction and inner worlds… Even when I compose music about distant stars”.
