4 years ago, when i didn't even own a soundcard or had no idea how to mix, i wanted to put some emotions into an hour of mixtapes. i was working as an architect in berlin at that time and using the most primitive software to play tracks after another. i feel similar vibes nowadays and wanted to share these 'mix tapes' with you!

I Seeded A Mixtape For A Tree, Birds Came To Sing

This sound journey weaves the natural soundscape of the Burning Man playa with the sacred releasing energies found during the 'Temple Burn'. I recorded these layers interacting with the soundscape, people, and sites as I watched the sunset and the temple slow set ablaze and return to ash. This is meant as healing gift to all who release loved ones during this ritual.

About Prismode & Solvane:
Prismode & Solvane are lovers and creators of Progressive House & Melodic Techno. Kickstarting their residencies at well-known Berlin institution Ritter Butzke back in 2015, both artists quickly realised that they were an ideal fit. Think of Fish & Chips, Burgers and Fries or Beans on Toast, when these two get together it certainly gets tasty. 

Fast forward to 2022, and the duo have become an important part of the Ritter Butzke family and are heavily ingrained in everything to do with the brand. Prismode took charge as the Director of the club’s booking, whilst Solvane got on the airwaves with their very own radio show „Radio Butzke“ on Fritz Radio and as label manager or „Ritter Butzke Records“. 

It doesn’t stop there for the two music wizzards, whilst the club brand is keeping them busy, they have also enjoyed releases Berlins infamous labels „Katermukke“ and Oliver Koletzki’s „Stil vor Talent“. 

However, even though they love creating and meddling in the studio, what gets them really excited is to get together in front of a crowd and play, where things can get a tad rowdy. Famous for the energy they inject into their shows, which showcases their true passion for the music and brings their unique style to the fore, the pair have been globetrotting the big stages from London to Istanbul and Amsterdam to Ibiza.

On the eve of St. Paddy's Day, I joined a group of fellow degenerates in a warehouse in the outskirts of SF to throw an epic rager. We had killer sound, awesome lights and lasers, and a highly curated group of attendees, all within two degrees of separation. I was invited to play a set alongside a group of very talented DJs, and here is what I unleashed during the witching hour!
