Telemarkk’s latest single combines 80s inspired retro synth design with groovy bass lines and psychedelic elements to immerse the listener into an absorbing sonic experience. Influenced by aspects from likes of Dua Lipa, Tame Impala and Roosevelt, ‘Bloom’, a catchy, euphoric synth-pop track destined for the summer, resembles holding on to positives in negative situations, particularly felt throughout the pandemic when dealing with isolation, expressing the feeling of falling out of touch with people and the realisation/evaluation of a breakdown in a relationship.

when we were making our bealtes cover ep, we struggled with settling on the final track. "goodnight" was actually slotted as the last song on the ep for a long time but nearing the end, after recording "if you've got trouble", the tone of the record seemed to change in an interesting way. goodnight suddenly seemed too sweet and dissonant. we had been toying with doing a looser feeling song that captured the documentary feel of the anthology series, so "oh! darling - (take 5)" was recorded shortly after as a one-take that replaced "goodnight" as the last track on the ep.

shortly after the album was released evan lost his hard drive to an apple update and goodnight was lost along with the album stems. luckily i had recorded the song 'off the floor' with the recording app on my iphone during a playback session. what we're left with is this version of goodnight - playing off of the speakers in our studio, clawing back to life through this lo-fi rendering of a lost track, police sirens and all.
