I've got this - it's all coming into focus. Everything was leadin' up to now and I know this. This is the moment of decision, the move to make. I thought I already did and made a huge mistake. But it makes sense now - the numbers come together. From under terrible storm clouds to sunny weather. It's like a fog has lifted; so long I've drifted through this bog and with me, I've been schleppin' around a song or fifty.
Now I'm releasin' em, sendin' em off to high places - like bringin' my kids to their first day of school; bright faces and tied laces, a backpack full of rap tracks. Show 'em what you're made of, slugger... and that's that. High hopes that what started as zygotes can meet the frequency of their sine notes, balance the tight ropes - bring daddy home good grades. You've all done a lot for me, and I would stay, but I've got friends in all the right places. I know what they want, I can see it in their faces. They wanna see me sail this ship to the edge of the earth. They know what the quest will be worth. Never having to look back and say what if; staring at the other vessels adrift.
