Anchor lede: Need ideas for a nice evening in Washington today? Our reporter gives us the scoop on a newly renovated gallery that has caught everyones attention. 

SCRIPT: The Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery captures a sense of “Wonder” to all that visit the exhibit-and thats the point. There are two levels of art work- with 9 main rooms showcasing the artists unique creations.  The most eye catching works include a mountain range made of hundreds of thousands of index cards, a rainbow made of colored thread, and nests made of sticks; there are 9 artists, 9 works, and 9 rooms that capture the viewers childlike wonder. Walking up the red carpet- you look up to see a large twinkling Chandelier made of LED lights that the artist has coded to never light up the same way-each time.

Deetron’s debut EP for Running Back is an amalgam of some of the key virtues of both parties involved:  the evocative and glorious power of the early days of rave (see cover art for further reference), emotional house, melodious techno, a beatless beauty and a firmly polished dance floor. Over the years, the Swiss producer has proven that his skill set and philosophy (underpinned by his mastery of the DJ trade) is perfect for such a mixture. 
The EPs title track is the result of an extensive research in quiet storm soul records and their influence on traditional house music. „T-Symmetry“ and „TXT“ make extensive use of Roland’s classic JX-8P synthesizer with very different outcomes and the certainty that the idea trumps the tools.
