TUBA announces the return of the West Coast of Canada’s premiere bass music group, Daega Sound, to the label with the release of our latest 12” record. TUBA 008 features three deadly, bass heavy tracks that embody the duo’s unrelenting dedication to creating the best sound system music.

Each track on the record takes the listener to a different, carefully crafted sonic world. On the A side Under Pressure opens with an unstoppable rhythmic phrase which in turn accompanies a merciless bass line. Spirit is a relentless roller that builds to unrecognizable heights. Perfect for the peak hour dance-floor. Abyss is the deep counterpoint as it opens the record up musically while maintaining a driving pulse.

New TRUTH album announcement - "Love's Shadow"

Defy records and TRUTH are very excited to announce the imminent release of the new Truth album “Love's Shadow”. Deciding to break the usual album format, the new Truth LP will be released in the form of an album sampler and two EPs... all free for their fans to download!

The album includes collaborations and remixes from some of the world's top dubstep producers including: J:Kenzo, Biome, Seven, Dubtek, Megalodon, Perverse, Vicious Circle, Riskotheque, DJ Madd, Von D, Kromestar, Datsik, Crushington, Yayne Antiserum, Optimus Gryme, Dutty Ranks and more.

"  The intro of Abcess sounds like you've just entered the realm of the Wicked, where the listener gets confronted with a serious amount of evil soundscapes and an intense drop. Here it's all about the massive drumwork in combination with the impressive percussion involved, creating a serious rhythm together. The low-end is heavy, containing nice variations in depth and patterning. Morphing aggressive growls take over the mix along with some repetitive stabs to create a great amount of heat. Widowmaker's timing is perfect, implementing necessary breaks to add an extra punch to certain parts of the track.  "Within the intro of Cerebral, a climax is built up through great grimey stabs with hints of a rolling low-end and evil progressive soundscapes. The drop contains contagious mids that eat your mind immediately, like with the other tracks on this release. Widowmaker's signature comes forward through the way he has structured his beats and the progress they make overall – making it a rollercoaster ride for the listener. Nice minimal percussive elements involved, which are in balance with the rest of the elements present, the way it should be. The second drop contains new patterns that sent out the message that you as the listener can expect much more from him in the future. Widowmaker - Cerebral (KAIUM001)

Four40 Records follow up a superb EP from I Killed Kenny in the form of 'Skanks' from fresh collaborators DECiBEL & Flowdan.

With a positive message and dynamite flow, Flowdan lays rugged vocals for DECiBEL to build a powerhouse track that is bound to send shock waves through many a dance. Not usually the type of beat the MC would usually vocal, this one causes pulses to race with a bounding drum line and a siren-like synth melody that is bound to send ravers crazy. Flowdan growls typically with superb one-liners, adding to the tracks blatant energy and raw rhythm that is sure to prove this one a dangerous weapon in any dance DJ's collection.

ENiGMA Dubz turns the track on its' head for the official remix. Providing a much grimier vibe without losing any of its' energy, this break-ya-neck style dungeon beat is one made for the 'skankers'. The remix package also features additional mixes from Hybrid Theory, DJ Cable, Lol Gurlz & Network.

With a video scheduled for release, this track is one that deservingly will cause ripples of hype through many EDM scenes.
