For the second release of the year, we’re delighted to welcome Paris-based Jumboclat, member of SeekSickSound and Exploration Music (RIP).

Author of a first solo release on Flore’s POLAAR imprint and producing the acclaimed ‘Tell Me’ released on Vernacular Records, he is also well versed in footwork, as demonstrated by his tunes on Le French Work.

His ‘Cloverleaf EP’ is a concentrate of everything he does best : from the emotional an deep 2-step ‘B With U’ to the razor sharp breakbeats of ‘Timeslip’, the prouction is meticulous, deep and melancholic, an ode to the carribean sounds and cultures blended with futuristic sound design. To round off the EP, Stacktrace delivers a psychedelic and oppressive dub remix of the title track.

PREMIERE: Jumboclat - B With U [Egregore Collective]

Goose Down is the electronic dance project of Los Angeles producer Micah Smith. His love for independent house, disco funk, boogie, and vaporwave absurdity shines through on this six-song EP 'Mind Rinse' out in October on his label Spatial Touch.

'Mind Rinse' was created in 2021. It's as much of an antidote to anxiety as one could muster during isolated times. Not necessarily an all-out dance floor killer, it's reflective and smooth yet deceptively upbeat.

Micah employs refreshing faux-jazz sounds of early 90s pop while keeping a distinct foot in playful weirdo-futurism and watery psychedelia.

'Arrivals' kicks things off with a pulsing momentum poised against lush chords and hypnotic digital marimbas. Micah's go to synth, the JV1080 shines on 'Place up in Heaven (With U)' and 'Heatmap,' both wonderfully bleary hymns for a sun-scorched southern California.

Enter the surreal basement of 'Good Grease' and 'Rock Salt Grind' where anxious dreamscapes and lo-fi moodiness succumb to unrelenting 707 beats and more marimbas. The EP closes out with title track 'Mind Rinse,' an enchanting, fuzzy tune decorated by shifting atmospheres and a warped vocal line of existential curiosity.

Most songs feature musicians and members of Spatial Touch collective Joel Stanton and Tamir Rawlings who provide extra synth layers, chopped vocals, and warm textures to the EP. This release follows last year's 'Ladysmith' single and two EPs also on Spatial Touch. The album will be available digitally and on cassette. As an exclusive bonus, two hidden tracks are included with all bandcamp album purchases.

After, having signed, in June 2022, the label's most successful record (DE005), Diogo is back in business with EXT033 – Quem é o Criminoso? (“Who’s the Criminal?”). At a time when pressing becomes increasingly difficult for small labels, due to the increase in production costs to clearly prohibitive amounts, Diogo returns home with a collection of tracks in digital format.

Materializing the fourth release of 2023 for the Extended Records/Discos Extendes labels, and in a year that seems to prove to be quite prolific for the label Diogo points directly to the dance floor. 4 straight to the point tracks, no bullshit, and in a breakbeat style that we can already identify as his.

“Fallin”, the record’s opening theme, is a declaration of love anchored in a rimshot and in sweet and honeyed voice samples whose crescendo only bursts after 5mins of time. Raising the BPMs “Move Me” follows the same voice and breakbeat recipe, relying more on the relationship between breaks and the strength of a “jazzy” chord until the entry of the pad, which, towards the end, transforms the track into an atmospheric landscape with the beat and the filtered breaks fading into the horizon. But the track that really stands out on the EP is, without a doubt, “I Don’t Give a F*ck!”. With great emphasis given to the low-end, the track is guided by those that are already Diogo's trademarks: breaks, more or less familiar voice samples, and basses that are very present and that, in this theme in particular, hit us in a way very physical way! Around 01:40 the theme is interrupted by an unexpected scratch and we hear a highly recognizable voice repeating continuously “I Don't Give a F*ck!”. The EP ends with a remix of the elusive Tsuri that deconstructs “Move Me” and elevates it to a Jungle track based on the inevitability of the break and on the sampled piano that here becomes a varied and fun stab that guides the track in different directions.

Who is the Criminal? You ask... If the crime being to smash the dance floor, Diogo will certainly be the main suspect. “ – Diogo Vasconcelos, please present yourself to the authorities!”

Its unbelievable but the day has come. Today it is  10 years of Moskalus.  10 years of keeping it real. 10 years of uploading music on YouTube for your pleasure. I love it!
To celebrate this for me very special day i made this almost 3 hour long mix. The mix includes mostly the stuff i played during the last two years in clubs. So what can you expect? Everything from lo-fi, classic and minimal/tech house. And of course, some banging techno stuff! Some mistakes were made, but even tho i think the mix is still pretty cool and has a nice vibe, hope you'll enjoy it!
