God is Able

When the grip of life's security is nearly gone, to whom shall we go? To God alone, for His hand is bigger than ours. His mind, wiser than ours. His knowledge vast-er than ours. A shift in perspective is then needed for obtaining genuine life security- security in God and not on this world is what we need. Eternal Security that is found in Jesus alone.

He Will Hold Me Fast

To whom may we go to in times of trouble? Who has the capability to help us and understand what we are going through?

Psalm 63:1 may put into words what we feel when David said, "O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water."

The attitude of coming and seeking God, coupled with the knowledge that He is God brings extreme comfort and peace while we go through our dry and weary lands. In the same chapter he stated that He will still worship God "for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy (v.7)."

Brothers and sisters, the dry and weary land that we face may lead to confusing times. Allow me to tell you to look to God for it is in Him alone that we may find renewed strength and genuine peace. As we trust in His strength and peace, we may rise on wings like eagles- soaring high above all our fears.
