my friends 
my yet to be friends 
the ones on the bus with me

the rebels 

and their win plans 

people are tired and disheartened 
by what the focal points of our conversations, jobs, and days are 

call it marxism 
call it capitalistic consequences 
whatever spin you wanna put on it

i don’t care either way
i don’t know what either fully means
and i don’t care to
the rebels will though 
they’ll know who to out

but not how to out
resulting in terminal social issues
the white out of people 
and perforation of joyous hope 

all that stands after their plans are followed through 
will be mislead chaos and order within it
 
misdirected charismatics 
ufo scares
third eye seduction 
and the inescapable fragrance of something molding with deceit 

can a seed live through the winter months 
on a stone
does life feel the same if we all feel the same
can the need for validation take the mind for a stroll through a desert highway 

we won’t know for sure anyways 
driving home with all that worry isn’t good for a steering or clearing mind 
we are passengers on our own paper airplanes

we sit then fold up with hopes to get thrown out a window outside into a golden meadow where the lady bugs fly

but no 
we crash land 
like every poorly crafted paper plane does 
spiraling straight down towards the ground 
no grace 
no glide
