Les paroles sont splendides : Aller à la Mecque n'est pas le but [ultime], Bulleh Shah ! ... et pleines de thèmes spirituels soufis.

Après un superbe Raga commun, le chant est solennel, Nusrat place toute sa puissance émotive en égrénant la lamentation du croyant qui ne trouve pourtant satisfaction dans les apparences de la piété, quelle que soit sa foi.

S'ensuit une parabole soufie compréhensible par l'initié. Puis la magie opère ...
