Gold Coast­based indie rock band Eliza & The Delusionals have announced their signing to Cooking Vinyl Australia and released a dreamy new track, Just Exist.

The new single which premiered on triple j's Home and Hosed last night, was produced by Kon Kersting (Mallrat, WAAX, Big Scary, Kingswood) and is the first taste of new music from Eliza & The Delusionals for 2019.

From Eliza ­ "Just Exist is about the balance of feeling depressed and feeling creative and inspired by those feelings. I find a lot of my best and most inspired creative ideas have come from some of the saddest and worst feelings I’ve ever felt which is very bittersweet. I hate feeling down but if I didn’t feel that way I think I would plainly just exist."

Just Exist

Eliza & The Delusionals was founded in Gold Coast back in 2015. 

Having signed with Cooking Vinyl Australia and renowned US agency APA, the doors truly started to open for the band internationally. Their recent hit single “Just Exist” has been playing on high rotation in North America since 2019, leading to major US touring opportunities, supporting artists like Silversun Pickups, Beabadoobee, and PVRIS.
“Just Exist” also attracted some synchronisation opportunities, and was featured in the US hit TV series The Good Doctor season 3.

The band were SXSW 2020 official artist and confirmed to play BottleRock, FireFly and Voodoo Music Festival before COVID-19 sent them home mid-tour.

Eliza & The Delusionals won the “Best Rock Song” with “Just Exist” at Queensland Music Award, “Breakout Artist of the Year” at Gold Coast Music Awards 2020, and Levi’s Music Prize 2020 as 1 of the 5 winners.
