I chose Greensleeves because it's one of my favorite holiday tunes. I loved reading the origin of the piece. According to Wikipedia, "There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Boleyn allegedly rejected King Henry's attempts to seduce her and this rejection may be referred to in the song when the writer's love "cat me off discourteously." I enjoyed reading that part, especially since my parents loosely named me after their daughter, Queen Elizabeth I.  There's another thing on Wikipedia that suggests Lady Greensleeves may have been a prostitute, but I prefer the King Henry story.

When I was a kid, I was made fun of for being too weird, big, ugly, and fat. I escaped into my world through movies, not even music (I was too young to appreciate or understand it). Miyazaki films made up my entire childhood and will always have a special place in my heart. It's so dang cold out, so I wanted to escape to summer. Thanks for listening.
