haha love coming back here and seeing everyone's mood laid low in the comments. the thing is, some of my fellow millenials made music a bit like this a decade ago, but almost always with a self satisfied 'look how quirky and clever i am' air.  but this communicates only an internal state, a feeling of being human, without pretense. this is so important.. not just for art's sake, it extends to so many other facets of life and people's motivations for doing things, and it is very heartening to hear the singer communicate an understanding of this with only vocal inflections, just as well as some of the all time greats. i can only do it with a lot of words... oops!
