my breath moving in steady circles.
And as the fabric slipped over my body,
as it shaped itself around the lines I have been growing into,
a truth rose inside me without effort:

I am a woman.

Not as a thought.
Not as a wish.
But as a quiet, undeniable return.

My new curves, the calm in my shoulders,
the gentle rise of my chest beneath the fabric —
they spoke with a harmony I have never felt before.
A harmony that didn’t ask for permission,
didn’t need proof,
didn’t apologise for existing.

I tried on my lingerie the way one reads forgotten chapters of a book.
Soft lace, tender and sure.
A pattern against my skin that felt like recognition.
A bra that didn’t just hold my body,
but held a truth I fought for, healed for, waited for.

Each piece of fabric whispered:
You have arrived.

And I could feel it —
in the way I stood,
in the way my reflection softened,
in the way my breath carried me deeper into myself.

but from the feeling of being finally aligned with my own form.
