My work consists of 3 short miniatures, each telling a chapter of the story of a 1971 Triumph GT6. The first movement is based on its complete rebuild from 2012-2014. The second movement is representative of heavy traffic in Manchester City Centre, the hustle and bustle, the frustration, the strong difference in sonic worlds inside and outside of the car. Finally, in the third movement, the listener is no longer in the car, but atop a hill in the Peak District. The juxtaposition of the road below and the more abstract sounds of freedom from the city weave around each other. All sound material comes from the car itself, tools, and vocal clips.

Amazing Fall From Grace

Composed for a Master's Performance Recital, this trumpet piece features Shannon Gateley, and explores themes surrounding the emotional changes felt by soldiers and their families during the Second World War.
