Couvre x Chefs is delighted to present Lofoten, the debut EP from Næja (@naejaa), a member of the collective and label since 2019.

After making his first appearance on CxC Vol. 2 in 2022, an eccentric Dubstep remix for anyoneID in 2023, and DJ sets packed with unreleased tracks, the Parisian DJ and producer finally unveiled his first solo release.

Comprising 3 original tracks and a remix of the same anyoneID, Lofoten sweeps through the rich sonic aesthetic of its author. Somewhere between Deconstructed Club Music, Dubstep, Hardcore Continuum and futuristic sound design, the EP takes us into Næja’s dark, hybrid club universe. Sometimes minimalist (Lofoten, Quantum), sometimes maximalist (Trance Gener8), the tracks shine through their meticulous arrangements, giving this first EP consistency, originality and solidity.

Kitsch is a South London-based DJ, producer and vocalist. Spanning house, techno, garage, breaks and bass - her tracks and mixes seamlessly blend the rave-ready energy of dance and underground club music, with melodies and vocals that range from warped and glitchy, to ethereal and dreamy. 

She has featured as a guest on NTS, Foundation FM and BBC Introducing London, and hosts her own monthly shows with Voices Radio and Subtle Radio. She has played at Body Movements and performed at venues across London including; Night Tales, Grow Hackney, Dalston Superstore, Aaja Deptford, and Four Quarters Peckham.

Kitsch's tracks have been featured on BBC Introducing, Radio 1 Dance and Radio 6 Music, and have received support from Or:la and Horse Meat Disco. Kitsch also runs her own night 'World Clique', dedicated to championing emerging DJs and celebrating the queer and femme side of underground music.
