It's been a devastating past few weeks from hate crimes, gun crimes and practically everything between. Sometimes I need to remind myself it's okay to not push down emotion and it's okay to just feel deep sadness for a tragedy and what it represents. No solutions, no systemic analysis, no silver linings, just to feel the sadness flow through me for what it is. I believe this is part of the process and often, the catalyst of change. Maybe you needed a reminder that it's alright to feel the sad, maybe you didn't, but I certainly did and this song was part of it.

This song is about Sarah Everard and a simple routine walk that should have been safe, but is also about all the routines that should have been safe and all the people that should still be alive. Insert he/him/they/them and "running" "working" "shopping" "sleeping" and they all follow a similar suit within their own respective realms.

Spring of 2019, a french boy moved into the room next to mine and I swiftly fell for him. Classic. As everything unfolded across the 6 months he was in America, three songs tumbled out. The result was an unplanned documentation of a love with a deadline, The Frenchboy Trilogy:
