Since we last caught up with B.AI on her installment of our Free Download there have been many highlights. Her starring role in OFF The Record’s annual Barcelona roadblock ensured that her name would continue to be at the forefront of people's minds and ears. The timing could not have been better as she had recently dropped “The Best” EP on Innershade’s Altered Circuits imprint. This would mean her adding to an already impressive and rapidly growing list of labels that includes Picnic Records and Fresh Tunez.

For her InSession recording B.AI has doubled down on the tough electro sound that has seen her welcome countless plaudits, but this time it has been tempered with lush disco licks, vocoded vocals, and soaring fluted synths. While the electro genre is a serious sub-genre packed full of forward thinking creativity, the genre is based on vintage sounding hardware and the period of time that spawned it is rooted in the 80’s. There is a big nod to this point in our recent past in this mix, and like the mix as a whole it should be welcomed and celebrated.
