2011 saw a unique collaboration between hip hop icon T.I. And vocal
powerhouse Christina Aguilera.  While the song went
slightly under the radar in the pop charts it sported an emotional
chorus with a stirring vocal performance from Cristina Aguilera
that lends itself quite well towards a melodic bass rework.

Enter Collin Mcloughlin and Skrux, who's synth heavy interpretation
of Castle Walls provides a melancholy take on the hip hop focused
original. A soaring trace like arp guides the listener through a wave
of heavy bass and glitched vocals, making this interpretation of
Castle Walls a perfect balance between subtle beauty and overdriven
low end.

This year’s biggest hit getting remixed by some of the best out there. Hasse de Moor turns SEX into an uptempo, broken beats monster of a track, providing the vocals with nice percussive elements. TV Noise on its turn gives the sultry vibe of the original an even more laidback vibe, creating a fantastic version made for every R&B, trap influenced music lover.

Meanwhile, TWRK & Doobious give the track a twisted interpretation, with beats and effects taking things to a whole other level. The first time Martin heard this song on the radio, he called me (Tristan) up and was like, "you HAVE to hear this new song by Alessia Cara! It has this dope 'ay ay ay ahhh' vocal chant in the chorus!" Right away, we thought about how awesome it would be to remix it. Then about a week later, our manager emailed us the track (without knowing how much we liked it) and asked us if we wanted to take a stab at it. No brainer.

Anyways, we had so much fun making this remix! We made a crazy vocal chop in the drop, I played a little guitar, and it was our first time working with a rap. Hope you guys like it, and if you do, PLEASE give it a heart on HypeM. Thanks!
