It Is What It Is

Six months of highs and lows, six months of laughter and tears, six months of learning and traveling and loving it all. 

This album is about leaving home and coming back home, completely different from the person I was when I left. It’s about change. It’s about growth. It’s about how sometimes love and loss hold hands.

Songs from Santiago is an artistic response to my six months abroad in Santiago, Chile. It is a reflection of everything and everyone I encountered and a tangible "recuerdo" of what I took with me and what I left behind of myself.

This project was recorded completely on an iPhone. Every song on the album (with the exception of "Vagabond") was written during my six months in Chile. I wrote a lot of songs here, so I had plenty of material to choose from, but this particular collection of songs centers around the themes of travel, growth, and change.
