The truly lovely Matt A.K.A Suite Pastiche dresses us up in a soundtrack fit for all seasons. We had the pleasure of partaking amongst a lively afternoon crowd at Waxflower which welcomed both rain and sunshine. Settle in for a selection of jazz, AOR, Dub, Lovers Rock, worldly African, and Boogie.

Suite Pastiche is a Melbourne-based community dance party for social intercourse, sonic bathing, and somatic expression.

"A dodgy first mix (used the wrong filter) then a decent enough set with mostly newish bangers from Tenebrae, Tim Reaper, Pariah, Hooverian Blur, Coco Bryce etc. Some slowed Jungle and rounded out with some recent UKG and an oldish one from El B".

""A love letter to the warm up set""
This mix is dedicated to the warm up set, it's a set that many djs did for years had to prove themselves as the warm up dj and eventually move up the ranks to a closing set and finally one day the peak slot. If you were / are lucky enough to be a resident dj you know what i'm talking about . It really educated me on being a dj and forced me to learn so many styles of music. It also taught me about "edging" , yes edging. How to bring it up and bring it down and trusting a crowd would follow the ride and take a few wrong or right swift left turns....  because let's be honest if you don't clear the dance floor every now then ya not doing it right. haha This set was recorded in Naarm, 28/9/23 at Subclub and it was a pleasure to start the night , it brought many memories of always being the warm up dj  , Boney days ,  how much I love it and how the art of the warm up set is sometimes lost in the modern day clubbing. It will always be the most important set of the night because it sets the tone for the rest of the night and you get to really play some amazing music and watch the night unfold right in front of you. Here's to the pure ecstasy of watching people dance to slow jams. 
Best feeling in the world.

This is a cut from the last 1.5hrs of the set i played at Daydreams at the Gasometer Hotel in 2018. 
The first half we had some 'technical difficulties' with some drunk people stomping on the amplifiers. This was a really fun time, enjoy.
