The engagement that over 3 hours of mixing requires is demanding as there is nowhere to hide. For this mix I was really excited to explore a plethora of sounds and genres across a span of BPMs. Building to moments and allowing for the entirety of the mix to speak a detailed narrative allows the listener to phase in and out of concentration. The set includes a large amount of original and unreleased work whilst also featuring a large incorporation of Australian artists that I admire. I would like to thank the team behind Flow Music for enabling such a great experience and for providing many people with amazing opportunities.

"The set was recorded after a great week following the incredibly busy Christmas and New Years period. I aimed to keep a peaceful tone throughout as a reminder that life doesn’t need to go fast all the time. I wanted to be able to capture the moment of bliss and happiness through songs that I have really been enjoying over the past few months. I hope to listen back to this set all the time during moments of relaxation and for calm periods of life, in turn, I hope that it does that same for many others."

Like a soothing voice from the past, nostalgia signifies a sense of yearning for what was, perhaps even for what was lost. It’s an emotionally tainted view back onto bygone times, carrying both melancholy and solace in remembrance of the lost qualities we prescribe to them.

For his interpretation of nostalgia, the Melbourne-based Elliott Creed created an interplay of filled and open space within his track 'Depth of Emotions’. A careful choice of expressive synths and echoing cymbals build up to a fully immersive soundscape, just to then collapse into a minimalistic and airy moment, offering space for memories of nostalgia to arise and linger while the build-up starts anew. The perfect tune to hypnotize a dreamy crowd on a foggy festival morning.

Elliot contacted us after hearing about 333 Sessions and shared with us some of his original tracks and we were blown away. It was amazing that this accomplished of a producer was living in Melbourne and we had not head of him. We were excited to bring his talent into the light. Enjoy the mix! Words from the artist: 
The plethora of sounds that culminate within dance music are always subjective and the restraint of time often apprehends a selectors ability to truly express their own artistic language. The opportunity for a mix like this allows for a range of sounds, tempos and genres to be explored to fully capture an exhibition of expression. The approach to this mix was to take the listener along a crescendo throughout the progression of the set, whilst also allowing the emotions of the track-list to come full circle. It was a real pleasure curating this and I hope everyone enjoys the experience.
