The Red Sea

A small head of scarlet, a glowing infectious red, 
had a linear fate, which was tragically followed, and met. 

Determined by a sailor one day, 
He could see himself withering on his personal horizon, he said
His plan, would dye the cheeks of your face and your throat, to match her hair; 
a bleeding red.

From what unfairly seemed to be embarrassment, 
Scarlet girl’s guilt and shame, 
didn’t expect sailor to wash her life away.

First sailor drew her destiny in a straight line, 
degrees and coordinates, tuned fine.
Scarlet girl was afraid to swim, 
but then sailor pushed her in. 

why do we paint the sea blue?
It’s more piteous than what is true.
Raspberry, amber, vengeful cruel water.
It folded Scarlet girl into its cleansing pool.

Cleansed her wholly of ambition or dreams,
so young, not even a chance to think of what they might have been!

But surely, not to be a sailor!
Those ones go insane!
Once you’ve breathed in the sea, the land is pain.

So, small scarlet haired girl, 
I’m sorry for sailor’s plan.
Your quick-decided fate tragically followed and met, 
to drown.
