schisme.s est de retour ce mois-ci avec un tout nouveau volume du compositeur, artiste sonore et ingénieur du son montréalais Joël Lavoie. Explorant les liens entre individus et environnement à travers des paysages sonores spéculatifs et des temporalités subjectives, ses créations, mêlant enregistrements de terrain et synthèse générative, questionnent les politiques esthétiques des espaces habités. Il a fait paraître des albums sur une demi-douzaine d’étiquettes, dont les étiquettes québécoises Mikroclimat, @kohlenstoff-live et Jeunesse Cosmique. Son travail de sonorisation lui a également valu un Félix (ADISQ) en 2023. En parallèle, il poursuit une maîtrise en composition musicale à l'Université de Montréal tout en travaillant comme concepteur sonore pour le théâtre et la danse. Ce volume, riche en nappes sonores profondes et envoûtantes, est une porte d’entrée vers son riche travail.
