Desde hace un tiempo tenía la intención de abrir un sello propio en donde sacar mi propia música sin las limitaciones que sonoras que a veces implica editar música en otros sellos, buscando romper barreras musicales que a veces nos imponemos a nosotros mismos, en búsquedas sin mucho sentido individual. ELM nace de esta intención y allí estaré sacando material propio y colaboraciones mías con otros artistas.

"flor fase figura forma final" marca el primer release del sello. Un EP de cuatro tracks creados totalmente en vivo. Ambient, techno y breaks componen un lanzamiento cargado de sensibilidad y drama.

For some time now, I've been planning to open my own label where I can release my own music without the sonic limitations that sometimes come with releasing music on other labels, seeking to break down the musical barriers we sometimes impose on ourselves in pursuits that lack much individual meaning. ELM was born from this intention, and I'll be releasing my own material and collaborations with other artists.

"flor fase figura forma final" marks the label's first release. A four-track EP created entirely live. Ambient, techno, and breaks make up a release full of sensitivity and drama.

EL MAMU is Mateo Muñoz's artistic project as a producer, DJ, and live artist. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, after a professional career as a classical pianist, he found a way to rebuild his artistic career through music production. His live act was the overall winner of the 2023 Clandestino Competition organized by Techsound, and he subsequently shared the stage with renowned international artists such as Lewis Fautzi, Alarico, DJ Pete, Truncate, Anne, among others.

EL MAMU's music always pursues the experimental in its many facets without losing sight of the classic, fusing drum machines with current sounds and concepts. His music has been released on labels such as Naked Lunch (Portugal), trauma (Portugal), PA$TI, CommonSense Records (Mexico), Hyperfocus (Scotland), Muakk (Colombia), and TNR Media (Colombia), among others. 

He is also the co-founder of the Bogotá-based collective No.ID (No.Identity Records), a cultural community and label dedicated to the distribution, promotion, and production of electronic music.
