Marching bands commonly pass through the town at all hours of the day. Sometimes as early as 4am. The marching bands signify many town event such as religious processions, family reunions, funerals, weddings and other reasons still unknown.

Recorded from the inside of Elmo's House Artist Residency, during a particularly busy morning in Batan. The town was occupied with the extensive preparations for the annual Batan Fiesta 2017. Various sounds of machinery, domestic and wild animals's daily calls, and other indistinguishable noises all contribute to the bustle of the morning.
