I hadn't listened to this particular track previously. The EPS-16+ was my primary workstation from early 1991 through 2007. I still have my original EPS-16+ (SCSI equipped). It started crashing regularly in 2008, but my son replaced all of the capacitors in the power supply back in 2021 for father's day. It has worked great since then. If only it had resonant filters without the WaveBoy expansion. I also have an ASR-10 (but with a little display problem) as well as a TS-10 I just bought about 4 months ago. I STILL love those old Ensoniq beasts. What parts of the track were done with other than the EPS-16+?

Papa November‘s She is Transmitter is a four track EP. It is conceptually inspired by the magic and wonder of audio and visual transmissions, particularly the sonic snow of short wave radio, its static blasts and modulated voices.

The EP’s title is a nod to Valerie Thomas, her personal journey into the field of science and her invention, the illusion transmitter, a device that utilises concave mirrors in order to create realistic three dimensional illusions.

Sonically Papa November‘s She is Transmitter is the result of a series of monthly live performances for first fold‘s Bring Out Your Dead events. The material sees Papa November‘s usually self regulated and insular sounds, affected and shaped by the presence and reactions of an audience. The contributions of an expanded line up has also shaped the music, creating a more digestible sound and tempo.

For this release Stuart Tonge is joined by drummer and guitarist Joseph Welden, Ben Sadler of Them Use Them, and Tom Slater, first fold‘s long time recording, post production and mastering guru and member of cult post punk outfit Yeah, Yeah, Noh.

Rothschild is a track taken from Geography of November’s Nocturnal Conspiracies, an EP split into four movements of cross pollinated genres; concrete, down tempo electronics, field recordings and committed vocal performances.
Geography of November is a collaborative project between Justin Wiggan from Geography of Nowhere, Dreams Of Tall Buildings and Stuart Tonge from Papa November, featuring vocal performances from Nathan Warner and Cello from Simon McCorry.
