Rhizome is the alter-ego of Youssef El Idrissi, a multidisciplinary artist based in Casablanca, Morocco. His love for music and the genuine atmosphere that raves create pushed him to co-organize gigs and festivals here and there with different collectives. In early 2017, he began to experiment with field recordings and produced two ambient tracks mixed with poetry and talks and atmospheric sounds.

His music is a mixture between psycore, darkpsy, glitch, techno, psybient, IDM. He believes that music can either 'divert or subvert', so he is trying to raise consciousness by getting into the subconscious and putting a seed that will grow horizontally in the minds and hearts, because "rhizome has no beginning or end; it is always in the middle, between things, interbeing, intermezzo."
