Title track from the CD "Open Doerr". In 2014, I commissioned a guitar built by master luthier Tom Doerr. After receiving the guitar (pictured), I worked through the next year to produce an instrumental CD of original tunes on this guitar as a way to pay tribute to this amazing instrument built with Lucky Strike Redwood and Cocobolo.

Quotidian

would you believe that the first line of this song is a paraphrased quote from a graphic tee? 

yep, it all started with a tshirt. After seeing that phrase printed across a shirt, hanging on the rack while I was waiting in boredom, my mind wandered and wondered.

Next thing I knew, I was invested in making it into a song which encompasses disappointments, pressures, desires, revelations, and the human need for rest that is hard to attain when the mind is full.  

MANILA is a song close to my heart because it captures my transition from Senior High School to College -- the peak of my youth and whirling of emotions, uncertainties, and expectations. This song was originally created in 2019. Just changed it a little bit (?) this 2022.

Also, this is a part of the EP, "Lakbay". Looking forward in completing the series ✨️
