Heritage (Choir Rework By Elodin & IHAKA)

A rework of our track "Thunderclouds Are White From Above" by one of our Day Ones, "Exoot", who also happens to be our mix/mastering guru. His production is flawless, and his perky (yet genuine) creativity has yet to reach it's limit 🚀 
This is Aphex Twin on steroids, with technical finesse - an epic piece of genuine IDM art. Stan has gone all the way on this one, so buckle up and pump it loud.

Thunderclouds Are White From Above (Exoot Rework)

A post-trance breakbeat anthem with hit-potential: Elodin remixes Elodin. 🚀

This trancy 130bpm breakbeat anthem combines and flips elements from both Study and Heritage - effectively making it a medley. After a meditative intro, it kicks into autopilot with a phat stack of zingy arps, not entirely unlike a zeroes trance-pop song - but takes a rossfromfriens/bicep tour when it comes to the drums that guide them. 
As one could expect from an Elodin remix, the song’s story is far from told at the halfway mark. 
After a dreamy break it returns with a mildly wild re-interpretation of Study’s energetic and powerful main riff. In this remix however, this riff is rhythmically transformed to fit a more percussive role in the song - somewhat reminiscent of the Rival Consoles sound. 
Easy-listening, dreamy and uplifting club vibes come bursting out the seems of this unexcpected remix.

The fifth installment in the “REWORKS” series is here: BRIDGEFINDER, a live electronic improviastion band, have reimagined “Common Ancestor”. This raw and vibrant rework really shows their colours, while simultaneously keeping the thematic essence beautifully intact.

After a couple of live shows, we realised that we
should do some acoustic reworks for listeners at home.
We've asked our dear friends Paul Vreuls and Sandbird to help us out on this one.
Originally,
"Condense" is one of the most "produced"
songs in our catalog, and this rework undresses it into
an acoustic live rework. The soul is kept intact, but the
sonics take a deeper atmospheric approach.
Percussion driven, lined with sparkling rhythmic
acoustic guitars beautifully topped off with a hypnotic
new-age vocal. A drum circle in lord of the rings
spheres: divine rhythms.

Heritage ft. Ihaka

Elodin merges the virtues of Uri Dijk and Luuk Bos into the realm of electronic music. In the very nature of the project lies an exciting sense of vision and experiment. As former synth player of the band Textures, Uri is shaped by a journey through the global metal scene. Previously synonymous to Lifecycle, Luuk comes from an equally noisy background steeped in bass music. Elodin is the synergistic brainchild that primes them to break free from the conventions of these contexts and opens up an untraveled musical pathway. In this space, Elodin tells a story of instinctive production, meticulous sound design, solid basslines and rhapsodic synths – keenly dubbed into adventure-bass.
